- Greeter Team members make sure everyone who comes in the door receives a personal welcome. They’re the message before the message! Research shows that people form their impressions about a church in the first 3 minutes they’re there, and in the last 3 minutes before they leave. So this role is critical! Greeters also offer directions, answer questions, hold doors, (hold umbrellas when it rains), etc. They hand out programs, take attendance, monitor overall building safety, and attend to guest needs throughout the service as needed.
- Sunday Morning Production Assistant: Calling all sticklers! This person spends about an hour Sunday morning, running through a pre-determined checklist to make sure all I’s are dotted and t’s crossed, from the front entryway to the auditorium, and from the children’s area to the information table. Is everything in tip-top shape to WOW our guests and ensure a great Sunday morning experience? This person is on the job!
- Hospitality Team: Make or purchase, and/or help serve refreshments for our guests following Sunday morning services. Prepare and serve coffee, pop popcorn, as well as help with set up and clean up in the HVCC kitchen.
- Guest Services Attendant: Be available at the HVCC information table following Sunday morning services to answer guest questions about upcoming events and HVCC programs. Training is available, but you don’t have to have all the answers. Capture questions that require follow up by HVCC staff or ministry leaders and deliver them to the office.

Connection - Fellowship Team - Fellowship and community is very important to God. This team plans fun events for all age groups to meet new people and draw them closer as a church family. Examples include Ladies and Men’s Night Out, Youth activities, Open Gym, Family Movie Night, Summer Volleyball and more. If you have a passion for planning and bringing people together, this serving opportunity is for you.

Kids and Youth ProgramsNursery The nursery team provides safe, reliable, loving care and interaction for children 0-3. If you love to hold babies, you can be Jesus with skin on for infants and toddlers, and care for parents by providing them with the opportunity to worship without distraction on Sunday morning. - Nursery Worker: Hold babies and play with kids for the best hour of your week! Provide childcare on Sunday morning for children ages 0-3.
- Story & Song Time: Join us for a little while on a Sunday morning to read a story or lead a song for little ones in the nursery.
- Nursery Upkeep: HVCC aims to provide the highest standards of cleanliness and organization of our nursery space. Help with storage development, decorating, maintenance/repairs, designing the space to be modular for nursery but also other HVCC church uses.
- Nursery Administration- Love to work behind the scenes and on your own schedule? Help serve nursery volunteers by helping with application review, reminder calls & postcards, making and monitoring schedules and other administration/coordination. You could also help by writing thank you notes to our volunteers for their faithful service each week.

Promiseland Preschool Promiseland Preschool is designed for kids ages 3-5 (age 3 up until entering kindergarten). Promiseland Preschool provides large and small-group teaching time, music, crafts and free playtime to nurture young hearts in their relationship with Jesus. We also use small-group activities to encourage personal relationships with one another as young children explore their early years that are so full of questions about God and Jesus. - Large-Group Coordinator: Using a lesson and tools that are planned for and provided to you, lead large-group time, teaching 8-15 children ages 3-5, as well as song and prayer time
- Small-Group Coordinator: Using a lesson and tools that are planned for and provided to you, elaborate on the large-group time, engage the children in discussion and reinforce the lesson through a craft
- Helper: Help with free playtime and provide an extra hand during large- and small-group lesson times, as well as snack time. Engage children ages 3-5 in interactive play and discussion.

Promiseland Promiseland is a high-energy, high-impact program designed especially for kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade. It meets during our Sunday services. Promiseland provides important Bible teaching through the use of creative group activities combining drama, music and video. We also use small-group activities to encourage personal relationships and intentional shepherding, which give children an example of Christianity being lived out on a daily basis. Promiseland is designed to supplement the family as it builds a spiritual foundation that will lead a child into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We are always seeking young adults (6th grade and up) and adults interested in working with young children as teachers and/or leaders of small groups, drama, music, and craft. - Large-Group Teacher: Using a lesson and tools provided for you, teach children grades K-5th grade during Sunday morning lesson time
- Small-Group Teacher: Using tools provided for you, elaborate on large-group lesson time in small-group discussion and activities. Build relationships through teaching and discussion with children grades K-5th. Serve with one age-group in one service each week during one school year, Sept-May.
- Promiseland Student Helper: Engage children in playtime and activities throughout Sunday morning Promiseland sessions. Provide an extra hand for teachers and build relationships with kids.
- Promiseland Registration Helper: Help at the registration desk serving children and parents during check-in and check-out for Promiseland sessions.

Junior High Youth We are currently seeking individuals who would like to help coordinate and supervise future events for junior high age groups, grades 5th-8th grade. - Activity Helper: If you like to work with middle-school age youth grades 5th-8th, this serving opportunity provides the chance to plan and coordinate games and other group activities for youth events.
- Snack Team: Junior high students are a hungry bunch! If you like to bake or cook, or would like to donate pizza, pop or other snacks for upcoming middle school activity nights, we’d love to have your help!
- Publicity Helper: If you love the idea of reaching out to engage the hearts of junior high students in our community who do not have a church home in safe, nurturing, healthy activities that offer an alternative to “getting into trouble”, join us in publicizing upcoming junior high events. Hang flyers around town, or help get the word out in countless ways!

Teen Youth Our teen ministry currently engages youth grades 9th-12th in weekly activity nights, exciting field trips and concert outings, and weekly small group Bible studies. WorshipPrayer Team The prayer team is responsible for developing, strengthening and sustaining a culture of prayer within Hidden Valley Community Church, as well as the surrounding community. As a prayer team member, your goal will be to reach a higher level of prayer than ever before, and to encourage others to strive to that same goal. This is accomplished through a variety of prayer activities, including individual daily prayer, churchwide prayer events or prayer before and during Sunday services. - Pastoral Prayer Team: Be one vital member of a team of prayer warriors who pray daily for Pastor Brian and his family.
- Ministry Prayer Team: Be one vital member of a team of prayer warriors who pray daily for HVCC ministry leaders and ministry efforts.
- Church Family Prayer Team: Be one vital member of a team of prayer warriors who pray daily for individual prayer requests that come from the church family and community.

Scripture Readers Has anyone ever told you that you have a great speaking voice? Do you love to bring life to Bible verses by reading them aloud? Serve by reading scripture or other inspirational readings pertaining to the Sunday message during the Sunday morning service. Worship Team Play an instrument? Audition for the HVCC Worship Team! Join the team that engages the hearts of God’s people in authentic worship. Drummers, keyboard players, guitar players and other musicians welcome. Production Team Be a part of the team that brings it all together! The producer monitors the Sunday morning worship environment and ensures correct cues are executed in all technical areas of sound, camera, lighting, and media presentation. Backstage Pass Sound Team: Serve as a member of the tech team by attending practice and being present to run the sound board on Sunday morning services. Turn up the volume on your worship experience by seeing what it takes to make what’s happening up front sound great. Training available. Lighting: Lights = action! Serve as a member of the tech team by attending practice and being present on Sunday morning to design lighting cues that complement on-stage action. Respond to direction and feedback from lighting lead and Producer. Offer feedback regarding the band, presentation and any aspect of the service. Media Design: Do you love the graphics that help engage people in authentic worship? Be part of the action as a member of the media design team. Design media presentations in accordance with the series theme. Prepare media presentations of sermon notes and song lyrics. And offer feedback regarding the band, presentation, or any aspect of the service. Media Presentation: Want to run the show? The media presentation team executes cues in tandem with the action on stage. You’ll be the person behind the curtain cueing up what’s next on screen and will have the opportunity to be live backstage for Sunday morning worship services. Back to Top Communications TeamCommunications Team members continually present the vision and purpose of HVCC to the church and to the community, support information sharing within the church and strengthen our fellowship. Opportunities include: - Communications planning: Are you a planner? Help plan and implement communications strategies for HVCC including communications support for upcoming message series and outreach events as well as ongoing marketing and ministry efforts
- Writer: Write and edit newsletters, E-newsletters, churchwide email announcements, website copy, signs and display graphics, verbal and program announcements, advertising and news releases
- Web team: Work with our web administrator to keep web content fresh and up-to-date. Publish content provided by photographers and writers. Training available.
- Photographer: Digital and film photographers welcome to be present during Sunday morning activities, fellowship events and other churchwide gatherings to
- Publicity team: Help get the word out to our community about what’s happening at HVCC. Work with local organizations, as well as newspapers and other media to place announcements and news releases for upcoming events and message series.

EvangelismCSI:Hidden Valley (fka: Community Kindness Team) The Christian Service Ignited team is involved in “kindness outreaches”. The goal is to show the love of Jesus in a practical way. This team shows kindness to members of our community by planning and coordinating churchwide “doing” tasks (washing cars, carrying groceries, raking leaves, etc.) or giving small gifts such as soda, gum, toys, water, etc. We hope to touch everyone in our target area (6,000+ people) every year! Big Sunday Planning Team We call it “Big Sunday.” What it means is a big push to reach more people who are far from God and draw them closer to Him. A few times each year, HVCC does a multi-media, community-wide push to dramatically increase the number of people we can touch with the message of God’s love. Be a member of the team to work months ahead of these events, planning and implementing communications, serving, ministry and other efforts to make these events as impactful as possible. Back to Top Administrative Programs- Volunteer Database Team uses our churchwide management software to maintain a database linking HVCC Members and Regular Attenders with various Ministry Teams. Along with names, additional contact information includes home address, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. Database team members are responsible for entering this information into our churchwide management software system, identifying individuals volunteering and serving in each Ministry and providing feedback and reporting to Ministry leaders and HVCC Leadership about staffing levels.
- Office Help - If you like to enter information, help get an office organized, coordinate follow-up from information inquiries, get materials ready for Sunday services, coordinate meeting materials or other administrative office tasks, we would love to have your help on a per-project, or regular basis in our front office. We’d also love to have back-up help answering phone and email info requests for when staff members are out of the office or need additional assistance.

Facilities Facilities Team does a multitude of critical and often behind-the-scenes tasks. It includes: - Chair Setup and Tear Down: The chair team takes turns setting up chairs for Sunday morning, and then after the service, stacks and removes chairs from the gym floor. This allows the space to be used throughout the week for sporting and other events. Chairs need to be set up on Saturday to prepare for Sunday service.
- Building Maintenance Team: If you have an eye for maintenance and a heart for service, this behind-the-scenes serving opportunity is for you! Work with the Director of Operations to perform routine building maintenance and upkeep tasks including H-VAC, floor maintenance and many other needs.
- Building and Repairs: Stage prop building, installing shelving in the children’s area, repairing stage steps, fixing what’s broken. If you can swing a hammer or use power tools, this job is for you.
- Facility Use support: There are as many people using the HVCC facility throughout the week as there are using it on Sunday morning. We designed our building to be a community center, and God is certainly putting our building to good use for a wide range of community groups. Help set up and tear down, as well as provide for regular cleaning and upkeep needs due to facility use agreements with community interest groups.
- Housekeeping Team is responsible for providing a clean place of worship and facility use where people feel safe and comfortable. Specific duties include cleaning the church as needed by mopping, sweeping, disposing of trash and other general duties. Periodic deep cleaning of high-traffic areas is performed on a regular basis as well.
- Grounds Maintenance Team provides a safe, sound, and comfortable worship center by cleaning the grounds, repairing technical areas, maintaining the plumbing, and prepping the gym area.
