HVCC’s annual meeting for 2008 was held Sunday, March 30 after the second service. About 50 people attended.
Our newest staff member, Connections Director Travis Clark, was introduced (see related story). Members in attendance unanimously voted to renew the terms of all three current members of the Leadership Team: Al Bauman, Kevin Campbell, and Luther Smith. The nominating process was also begun for new appointees to the Leadership Team. Anyone who is a member of Hidden Valley can nominate a candidate for the Leadership Team at any time until the end of April. Contact the church office to make nominations. Brian gave a progress report for the Dodgeville and Richland Center sites. Since the beginning of this year, weekly attendance had averaged 352 at Dodgeville and 101 at Richland Center. Seven people had committed their lives to Christ at Richland Center, while 10 recommitted. At Dodgeville, there have been 22 first-time commitments to Christ and 16 recommitments. Kevin Campbell gave a brief presentation on 2007 financial results and presented a summary 2008 budget. Overall giving increased 13 percent in 2007; the total received from all sources was $338,000. Budgeted expenditures for 2008 total $417,000, with much of the increase due to higher staffing expenses and the addition of a capital savings fund. |
