In January, we began the process of adding to our Dodgeville staff a Connections Director who would help HVCC to better connect people with God and with each other. We are pleased to announce that the Leadership Team has unanimously approved the hiring of Travis Clark as our new Connections Director, effective Wednesday, April 2.
Travis and his wife Janet live in Dodgeville. They are HVCC members, having attended since October 2003. Travis was selected for this new staff position after a series of interviews by a team of Dodgeville and Richland Center leaders. Although he was our only in-house candidate, we reviewed applications from almost 50 people from around the country. Travis has served as the leader of our volunteer lawn mowing crew and as a member of the greeter team. He has participated in small groups for our 40 Days of Purpose campaign, Financial Peace University, and the Thursday morning men’s group. In his new position, Travis will oversee the groups program, develop a church-wide ministry involvement system, and oversee the greeters ministry, among other duties. Prior to accepting this position, Travis was employed in the private sector as a mortgage broker. He and Janet have two daughters, Grace and Eve. Janet is currently HVCC’s administrative assistant. |
